As explained in the notice from The State of Michigan, Cliffs is filing an unemployment claim on your behalf if you have been put on layoff. The state will process this claim, then send you information explaining that a claim has been filed on your behalf. You will still have to certify. For the weeks ending in May 2nd and May 9th, you should certify with MARVIN or MIWAM during the week ending May 16th.
